To find a suitable person for your mentorship, you should have as much clarity as possible beforehand about what topics and issues you want to work on in your mentorship.

How the search works
The search function of the alma platform allows a combination of two principles:
- You can search for any "unique" information in mentors' profiles, such as by field of study or professional field.
- Additionally, you can perform a free text search, which searches all text fields in mentors profiles. These include:
- Main areas of work
- Professional training
You can weight all criteria to refine your search.
A match of about 50% is sufficient for a successful mentoring process.
Tips for searching
Do you need guidance on what career fields are open to you with your field of study?
Weigh the field of study in your search the highest and include related fields.
You want to gain a foothold in a particular industry?
Weigh the professional field most highly and don't put too much emphasis on mentors coming from your own field of study.
You want to first find out which activities you might enjoy or where your strengths lie?
Look for mentors who work in human resources or have coaching training - they may be able to best help you clarify these questions for yourself.
